Yes.
With a 300 hp engine (i.e. turbocharged TSIO-540 or similar), a widebody Comp Air 6 with the optional tapered wings, and conventional landing gear, will be able to cruise comfortably at speeds between 165 and 195 mph TAS. Top speed is about 190 mph IAS (Vne: 257). Empty weights vary widely depending on how much stuff a builder packs into the airplane (upholstery, paint, instruments/avionics, etc.) Most builders are able to build a comfortably detailed airplane, equipped with a 300 hp Lycoming, that weighs no more than 2250 lbs. With the optional 3600 lb. gross weight reinforcements (high gross lift struts, etc.), that provides about a 1300 lb useful load. Fuel capacity is 60 gallons standard (up to 120 gallons optional). Payload would depend on how much fuel you wanted to carry.
