"Is Aerocomp Inc. interested in testing the new *** engine?"
The new *** engines are very interesting, and we would be very interested in seeing them tested in our airplanes. Our focus, though, is on aircraft development. Powerplant possibilities and new developments are always of interest to us, but we are not seeking out alternative powerplants.
When someone buys one of our airplanes, and approaches us
with a new powerplant that they want to install, we are happy to assist them in every way
that we can. Currently, builders are experimenting with nearly a dozen different
"alternative" powerplants, although the most popular powerplants among our
customers are conventional Lycoming and Continental engines.
