"Are water rudders available for SuperFloats?"

Yes, water rudders are available for our SuperFloats. But most people flying airplanes in the 1500 lb range find that water rudders are unnecessary on SuperFloats. It certainly makes the installation a lot simpler without them! This is achieved in part by the design of the floats, which deliberately do NOT utilize the old-style deep "V" hull design. Our floats are designed to modern hydrodynamic standards which accomplish stability without sacrificing maneuverability the way older designs did. You are only likely to need water rudders on SuperFloats if you regularly attempt to dock the airplane at congested marina's, etc. where very tight maneuvering is required. Most float pilots that we know avoid such areas, if possible.

Water Rudders are available, though, if desired. And they are recommended on larger airplanes (CA6+).
