"Please explain the $10,000 price difference between the Comp Air 6 and the piston-version Comp Air 7, since both airplanes have the same size fuselage."
The price difference between the Comp Air 6 and the piston-version of the Comp Air 7 is primarily the difference between a deluxe "loaded" airplane and a more affordable "basic" model. The Comp Air 7 includes many options as standard that are not included with the basic Comp Air 6 kit. These include the Widebody Option, Fuselage Quick Build, Taper Wings, 100% mass balanced controls, larger tail surfaces, aerodynamically "raked" windshield, flush-mounted landing gear, flush-fit thermopane doors, etc.
