"Is the 'aerobatic option' the same as the 'carbon tail group option'? If not, what is included in the aerobatic option and what does it cost?"
No.
The aerobatic option consists of the 100% mass balanced controls and larger tail surfaces
(and, typically, flush-mounted landing gear). Additional load-bearing reinforcements are
also installed in the fuselage (during lay-up) and in the wings (during assembly) for
aerobatic versions. These aerobatic reinforcements do not contain carbon, and are not the
same as the carbon tail group reinforcements which are needed for very high power
(turboprop) applications. The CA7 Turbine includes both.
