"What does the standard Comp Air 4 or 6 kit consist of, and what does the 'fast build option' accomplish?"
The standard Comp Air 6 kit includes a fuselage kit (2 halves - left & right - which need to be joined together, + materials for elevator, rudder, and horizontal stabilizer), a wing kit (skins, spars, struts, hardware, rib, aileron, and flap materials), conventional landing gear kit, tires/wheels/brakes, cowling, basic day VFR instruments, etc. With the Widebody Option, the two halves are joined together at the factory (with a 4" splice between them, for a wider cabin).
The wing Fast Build Option eliminates about 120 hours of work. With the Fast Build Option, the wing ribs and spars are factory-installed on the bottom wing skins.
