"How many planes are actually flying?"
As of June 2001, we have two Comp Air 7 Turbines, one Comp Air 8, one Comp Air 10 on straight floats, and one Comp Air 10 XL landplane here in Merritt Island that we are currently using as factory demonstrators. There are now over 30 turbine powered Comp Air's flying, and at least 100 privately owned piston-powered Comp Air aircraft flying.
There are about 200 other Comp Air aircraft currently under construction. About 125 piston-powered and 75 turbine-powered Comp Air aircraft are currently being built.
During the past year, Aerocomp has been delivering kits at an average rate of about about 1 kit every 7 to 10 days, so the number of airplanes flying and under construction is growing rapidly.
