"I would like to complete the entire aircraft in a builders assist center, and then fly it home. What does the builders assist center program cost?"
That depends on how much assistance you'll be needing! <grin>
Do you just want to rent space to work, do you want to use shop supplies and materials, do you just want to stand and watch -- that is, how much hired help will you want?
The various builders' assistance centers available to Comp Air builders are independently owned and operated. They each offer a variety of services that can be custom-tailored to fit your own requirements. For detailed pricing, contact the builders' assistance center directly.
Generally, the value of completed and flying Comp Air turbine aircraft has been about $100,000 to $150,000 more than the total price of the individual components. The value of a kit in which the builder has completed the primary fiberglass work under the guidance and assistance of experienced technicians (but which still lacks powerplant or avionics, windows, seats/upholstery, control systems, or body work and painting), is usually about $15,000 to $20,000 over kit cost.
