CA 10XL on Floats Wheee! Splish - splash, we're takin' a bath. Aerocomp's new s-t-r-e-t-c-h version of the Comp Air 10 (dubbed the "10XL") is now on floats, ...and wow, is it fun! This huge floatplane (32 feet 5 inches long; gross weight: 6000 lbs.) carriees the largest set of SuperFloats ever built. The Comp Air 10XL, like Aerocomp's other products, is built from kits sold by the Merritt Island, FL company. The company specializes in manufacturing kits for modern all-composite airplanes. The Comp Air 10XL is the largest member of the Aerocomp family of airplanes. It's siblings include aircraft ranging in size from 2 to 11 seats, powered by engines of 65 to 650 hp, and cruising at speeds from 70 to 275 mph. Aerocomp's airplanes may be built with conventional, tricycle, or float
landing gear. Each model is easily customized to best suit the needs of each builder. |
